Discover The Rolling Spring Roll (Commack)

When you’re craving something fresh, flavorful, and a little bit different, The Rolling Spring Roll (Commack) is the perfect spot to satisfy your appetite. Located at 6120 Jericho Tpke, Commack, NY 11725, this vibrant eatery specializes in creative twists on traditional Asian cuisine. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this restaurant is sure to impress with its unique menu and inviting atmosphere.

The standout feature of The Rolling Spring Roll is, of course, their namesake: the spring rolls. These aren’t your typical appetizer. They offer a variety of rolls, from the classic crispy ones to innovative options with fresh ingredients. The spring rolls are made to order, giving you a satisfying crunch every time you bite into them. I’ve had the pleasure of trying several different types, but the shrimp spring roll was by far my favorite-light, perfectly seasoned, and packed with fresh, juicy shrimp that’s balanced out by the crisp veggies inside. It's clear that quality ingredients are a top priority here.

One of the things that make this restaurant stand out is its attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. Each dish feels like a work of art, and the menu itself is full of options that cater to both vegetarians and meat lovers alike. If you’re into something a little more filling, their rice bowls and noodle dishes are full of rich flavors and satisfying portions. The chicken pad Thai is a crowd favorite, with just the right balance of savory and sweet, and the perfect amount of spice to make every bite enjoyable. You can tell the chefs take pride in their work, as the noodles are always perfectly cooked, and the sauce has a great depth of flavor.

For those with dietary restrictions or preferences, The Rolling Spring Roll also offers gluten-free and vegetarian options. Whether you're avoiding gluten or simply prefer plant-based dishes, there’s something on the menu that will cater to your needs. I’ve seen several people rave about their vegetarian spring rolls, which are packed with colorful, fresh vegetables like cabbage, carrots, and bean sprouts. They’re light but satisfying and serve as the perfect starter or snack.

The restaurant has a cozy vibe, with a modern interior that still feels warm and welcoming. It’s not overly flashy but definitely has a nice balance of style and comfort, making it a great place for a casual dinner with friends or a quiet meal with family. Service here is top-notch as well. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure you’re taken care of without being overbearing.

If you’re planning on visiting, it’s worth mentioning that The Rolling Spring Roll offers both dine-in and takeout options. The convenience of being able to grab a delicious meal to go is perfect for those busy days when you don’t want to cook but still want something flavorful. Their online ordering system is easy to use, making it a seamless experience to enjoy their delicious dishes from the comfort of your own home.

For dessert, they offer a range of sweet treats that perfectly complement the meal. The mango sticky rice is a standout, featuring fresh mango paired with coconut rice that’s just the right amount of sweet and creamy. It’s a refreshing way to end a satisfying meal, and one that I’d definitely recommend trying if you have a sweet tooth.

If you’re in the area or planning to visit Commack, NY, The Rolling Spring Roll is definitely worth a stop. The combination of flavorful, high-quality dishes and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot for anyone who loves great food. Whether you’re there for the spring rolls, the pad Thai, or just to try something new, you're sure to find something you’ll love.

  • I have always wished there were truly delicious pho restaurants here in Long Island, New York, as I’ve long been a fan of Vietnamese noodle soup. Over the years, a few places have opened, but each visit left me disappointed. Then, to my surprise, I recently discovered this hidden gem—and I couldn’t be more delighted. In the past, I usually had to travel all the way to Flushing just to enjoy a satisfying bowl of pho. Now, I no longer need to make that trip. For anyone who loves pho, I can confidently say that one visit here will leave you with no regrets.

  • I always come here for a comforting bowl of Beef Pho, and they never disappoint! The service is excellent, fast, friendly, and attentive every time. They even have a delicious pudding for dessert that’s a must-try! It’s close to home and always hits the spot when I’m craving Pho. Highly recommend this place for great food, great people, and great service!

  • This restaurant has some vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Pho Chay and my husband had the Sauteed tofu. Both were delicious. Service was good. Restaurant was clean and quiet. Would go back here!

  • First time having Vietnamese so I went with the beef pho. Had my wife and kid try it first lol they liked it. I enjoyed the dish, some of the beef could have been a bit more tender ⏸. The spring rolls were on point. I will definitely return.

  • Pretty average pho. It absolutely isn't bad, but not the best I've had either. I come here for convenience because it's close to me and it'll hit the spot when I'm craving it. I do wish the broth was more seasoned and aromatic, and it could use a little more meat per serving. Overall, pretty solid option but I wouldn't come out of my way to come here if I was closer to other places. Service is great though.

  • I frequent this place quite often, and I love their beef pho and their summer rolls. Though their summer rolls are quite expensive (2 for $10) they have a very good taste with a blend of beef, shrimp, noodles, and lettuce. Other reviewers have said that they hated the food here but I believe that this food is one of the best tasting from the Vietnamese cuisine that I have had. (I have been to over 10 others). It is an acquired taste and not all may like it but if you do this is the place to go. The pho here is large, with generous helping of beef. I recommend the extra large if you want the best price to size ratio (enough for two servings). Just make sure to push the meat down if you would like it fully cooked. The staff here is quick and very understanding of dietary restrictions. Joe is the owner of three of these restaurants (all called The Rolling Spring Roll) and I highly recommend talking to him as he has a lot to share. All in all this is a wonderful place (one of few) for those wishing to enjoy Vietnamese food on Long Island. Come see for yourself!
